1. The Cookies we use

The Cookies we use may either be session-specific, and therefore removed as the session is closed, or temporary for a certain time period thereafter.

2. The purposes for which we use Cookies

2.1 Strictly necessary Cookies

The Services uses Cookies which may not be disabled as they are strictly necessary to provide the Services’ functionality, or to keep the Services safe and secure.

  • Cookies are used to recognise you, your preferences, and present you with relevant Service content based on your previous use of the Services.

  • Cookies are used to prevent fraudulent activities, such as bots and cyber attacks.

  • Cookies are used to keep the services secure and in a working condition. This is done by tracking the number of users and collecting certain usage analytics to ensure data and balance efficiency.

The legal basis under EU Regulation 2016/679 (the “GDPR”) for the above purposes are necessary for Riddle to deliver our services to you (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR) (insofar as necessary to provide the Service), or based on a legitimate interest of Riddle, after balancing against your interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) (insofar as necessary to keep the Service safe and secure, and free of fraud).

2.2 Analytics cookies

Analytics cookies are used to provide us with information about how our services are being used. They collect information for example about which actions our users take, and which parts of our services are being used the most.

The legal basis under EU Regulation 2016/679 (the “GDPR”) for these analytics cookies is consent (Article 6(1)1(a) GDPR. You can contact us to revoke this consent, or delete or disable cookies on your device.

3. How to control the use of cookies on your device

You can manage cookies through your browser settings. The 'Help' feature on most browsers will tell you for example how to prevent your browser from accepting new cookies, or how to block cookies.

However, if you block all cookies on your browser, neither we nor third parties will put cookies to your browser. If you do this you may have to manually adjust some preferences every time you use the Services and some features may not work.
